Everyone is excited and talking about Neophobia! This is the only film that has made it to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2017. I repeat, it’s the ONLY KENYAN FILM, SCREENING AT CANNES 2017! It will screen from 24th to 26th May 2017 and features among other shorts selected around the globe under the Creative Minds Shorts.
The film starts ace actors, Brian Ogola and Joyce Maina and is directed by Mark Maina.
Brian Ogola is an alumni of HAMC, the Hollywood Acting Master Class, having trained under veteran Hollywood actor & director D. David Morin. He has worked on among many other notable works, Jane and Abel & Lies that Bind.
Joyce Maina apart from acting, is also a commercial model, having worked on various commercials including Kanakelon Hair.
The film is a modern day fairy tale that tells the story of a young woman, Fiona Bosibori, obsessed with old routine and an unwillingness to try new things. When she unexpectedly finds an appreciation for a modern hair dryer, she is forced to completely rethink -and overthink -her life.
